Letzte Woche war ich für ein paar Tage in England, eine Freundin besuchen. Genauer gesagt war ich die meiste Zeit über in Bristol, eine wirklich sehenswerte Stadt. Auch in Bath und London, von wo es schließlich wieder nach Hause ging, war ich für einige Stunden. In Bath kann ich den Besuch des Jane Austen Centre sowie des Fashion Museums empfehlen. Insbesondere kann man im letzteren gegen Ende der Ausstellung selbst Kleidung vergangener Epochen anprobieren, was recht witzig ist.
Last week I've been to England for some few days, visiting a friend. The most time I've been to Bristol, a lovely town. I've also been to Bath and London for a few hours. I can truly suggest you to visit the Jane Austen Centre as well as the Fashion Museum. Especially at the last one you can try on clothes of past eras at the end of the exhibition, that's a lot of fun.

Durch Bristol fließt der Fluss Avon, über dem eine architektonisch doch recht ansehnliche Brücke gebaut wurde, die Suspension Bridge. An dem Tag war herrliches Wetter, wobei ich gelernt habe, dass sich das in England ganz schnell ändern kann.
The Suspension Bridge is a quite architectonic impressive bridge built above the river Avon, which flows through Bristol.

Kulturinteressierte sollten sich in Bristol den Besuch des Mshed Museums sowie des Bristol Museums and Art Gallery nicht entgehen lassen. Beide sind vom Eintritt kostenlos, allerdings wird um eine Spende gebeten. Im Mshed Museum hatte ich das Glück, eine vorübergehende Auststellung, die Wildlife Photographer of the Year, ansehen zu können. Diese hat zwar ein geringes Eintrittsgeld gekostet, allerdings lohnt sich die Ausstellung allemal!
People interested in culture should visit the Mshed Museum and the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery. The admission is free at both museums, certainly a donation is bidden. I was lucky to be able to take a look at a temporary exhibition, the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at Mshed Museum. This exhibit costs a little, but it's totally worth it.

Auf meinen Erkundungstouren durch Bristol habe ich einige Graffitis entdeckt, bei zwei von ihnen (links und rechts unten) habe ich herausgefunden, dass es sich um Banksys handelt, beim rechten oberen bin ich mir unsicher, scheint aber vom Stil her ähnlich.
I saw some graffitis on my scouting expeditions through Bristol, two of the pics above (left one and the one at the right bottom) are Banksys; I 'm not sure if the one in the upper right corner is a Banksy, but it looks similar.

Von London selbst habe ich leider nicht viel gesehen, da mir die Zeit ziemlich knapp wurde. Empfehlenswert ist ein Besuch des Camden Markets, von dem ich das Gefühl hatte, das man dort so ziemlich alles kaufen kann, von Kleidung über Möbel bis hin zu dem ganzen leckeren Essen, das dort angeboten wird. Allerdings sollte man sich dafür sehr viel Zeit nehmen, denn die ist mir dort einfach so davongeeilt.
Unfortunately I haven't seen so much of London because I only got a short time there. A visit of the Camden Market is commendable. I felt that it's possible to buy everything there, from clothes over furniture up to all the tasty food sold there. However you should take a lot of time with you which I hadn't this time round.
